This afternoon I got to go to Machava which was the original land Heidi and Rolland were given. We headed off there in a small truck the roads were so bad and a lot were blocked because of the floods. One day of rain cause chaos to the road and the sand which has been used to fill any holes which appear just gets washed away the next day. Machava centre is responsible for the youth service in the city on a Monday night.
The centre is quite far from Maputo. To think that Heidi walked this with kids in the early days just blows my mind.
It’s a different world when you get there. Its so peaceful, fewer children and a smaller school. We saw around and then went to church. I walked in a there is a guys sitting in a Tearfund t-shirt. That felt very strange.
Am quite tired tonight and its home group so will take it easy.
