Take out the trash day

It’s so cold today! Well that’s according to the Mozambicans. They are out in fleeces and woolly hats. It’s a mere 28 Celsius. So I am still in shorts and T shirt. This morning poured with rain, which I was very thankful to see. The Irish gal in me was screaming for rain! What a welcome sight it was. It also helped give me a perspective that we were in December and this is how it should feel.

The Christmas Party at the Bocaria was excellent. There must have been 350ish kids there. Singing and listening to the Nativity story. Please see the photos below (more will follow). There were a lot of good seeds planted today, now they need watering. Also never did I think I would do sound on the dump, but today it was needed!

I had a real blonde moment at the end when we were clearing up the rubbish from the party, I asked “Do we have a black bag to collect the rubbish to take back” The response was…. You are on the dump, just go outside and throw it there! I found this really bizarre, what I would have taken away would just end up back here!
